The purpose of this technical paper is to provide information on the quality and characteristics of fuel ethanol around the world, to be used as the basis of a discussion paper for public comment on a proposed Australian fuel ethanol quality standard. Fuel ethanol is that used in blends with petrol, in blends with diesel, and in dedicated 100% ethanol-fuel vehicles.
