The present research investigation is focused on an exhaust characterisation of vehicles (one bi-fuel vehicle and two flexible-fuel vehicles) run on bio-based fuels such as biogas and gasoline/ethanol fuel blends under different testing conditions. The testing conditions investigated are two different driving cycles, i.e. the new European driving cycle (NEDC) and the Artemis driving cycles. Furthermore, two existing temperatures (+22°C and -7°C) were used in the NEDC. In a subproject, the catalyst durability regarding oxidation of methane was studied on ten cars. The aim of the investigation was to provide data and guidance to be used as basis for the future use of alternative fuels for the Swedish (and European) market.
