Hungary's MOL to make fuel from used cooking oil

"MOL will from mid-May collect waste cooking oil at its 100 petrol stations and make bio-fuel from it", spokeswoman Andrea Pánczél announced. The cooking oil will be processed by Rossi Biofuel's unit in Komárom. "The average Hungarian household consumes three litres of cooking oil a month, 75% of which is used for frying. Many use oil five times, which is unhealthy. Most households then pour the oil into toilets, polluting water", Népszabadság adds.
