Brésil: Shell et Cosan s'associent dans l'éthanol

Lancé par Shell et Cosan, Raizen est une co-entreprise qui a pour objectif de devenir un producteur mondial de biocarburants à faible teneur en carbone, en commercialisant plus de 2 milliards de litres par an, d'éthanol produit à partir de la canne à sucre brésilienne. Raizen distribuera des biocarburants et plus de 20 milliards de litres d'autres carburants industriels et destinés aux transports annuellement, par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau combiné de près de 4'500 stations-service de la marque Shell. Il devient la troisième société de carburants la plus importante au Brésil. La société prévoit d'étendre sa portée dans les années à venir pour exporter plus d'éthanol vers d'autres marchés clés.
